We have been outside of traditional church long enough now that our oldest child has little memory of that relic. She now prompts us into singing hymns, songs or whatever you want to call it. She is very artistic and loves to express life through art.
John 15: 1-11 is a beautiful picture of Christ and His connection to the Church. Truths like John 15 can be discussed around a simple meal while you eat with your children. See everything is about getting a clearer perspective. We are not bogging down with a system or a program. We are shedding the baggage to live in a Christ centered community.
Today we sang two songs that were glorious at the request of a seven year old. Now that's awesome, in a very unstructured moment Jesus Christ was put front and center at the hands of a child.
Knowing Christ is really much easier when we are all able to prompt those Christ moments to happen. The picture is being used as a simple reminder in our home that we are a branch on the True Vine. The truth is its gonna take a lifetime to grasp it and frankly we are okay with that.
A lot of social media posts from Christians I read say they don't have community. We are learning with our children that community is what you make of it. Community is about Jesus Christ, not us.
The children bring a lot to the community.
